Punctuation

 

All statements, those phrases/sentences that simply state an event or status or attribute of a subject, begin and end with a colon mark ":". It indicates a full and complete stop in speech.

Queries, those phrases questioning an event, status or attribute begin and end with a question mark "?". It indicates a full and complete stop in speech.

Exclamations, those phrases/sentences deemed to require heightened attention by the speaker and thus usually spoken in a manner exhibiting heightened excitement, pitch or other vocal signal, are begun and ended with an exclamation mark "!". It indicates a full and complete stop in speech. Those elements which are also pronounced with a higher volume/pitch/tone/vocal signal are preceded by an exclamation mark.

Titles, those phrases simply naming a thing, event or piece of work (such as this article), are begun and ended in single quotation marks ''

Most words in Lojsk are constructed in single syllables. There are however, a number of grammatical 'fused' constructions that have multiple syllables (two or three). Period marks "." are utilized to indicate the separation of the parts. It indicates a full and complete, albeit short, stop in speech.

Proper names are denoted with as many syllables as are necessary. Comma marks "," are utilized to indicate the separation of syllables in these constructs. Period marks "." are also utilized to mark the separation between the name and the "ii" that exits and re-enters Lojsk. (see section titled CMEN)
